What's on in November 2025?
As we move into November, we continue to deliver an extensive range of programmes supporting residents across health, education, and community engagement. From cost-of-living support and employability sessions to new female football opportunities and remembrance events, this month’s activities reflect our ongoing commitment to improving wellbeing, connection, and opportunity across Blackpool. Whether it’s through fitness, football, or friendship, there’s something for everyone to get involved in as we head towards the end of the year.
Primary School Delivery
Our Premier League Kicks team continues to deliver free evening activities for 8–18-year-olds across Blackpool. Our Premier League Primary Stars team will be facilitating the EFL Kids Cup, an annual competition we host in Blackpool. The winners of the local heats will progress in the competition.
High School Delivery
In November, our High School Hub mentors begin the delivery of Premier League Inspires, which is rolled out across all five partner schools. The 20-week personal & social development programme is aimed at improving mental health and wellbeing. Participants engage in sessions focusing on resilience, healthy habits, good sleep and managing stress. Pupils also take part in a social action project where they have the opportunity to come to the stadium and present their idea to peers and staff. Finally, our staff continue their 1:1 mentoring offer for pupils in year 7-11.
Safer Streets (StayOnSide) continues in our local secondaries and alternative provisions throughout November. This popular programme addresses anti-social behaviours both on and offline that impact the lives of our community. The core themes look to instil a sense of self-pride and respect for individuals whilst offering insight and community safety tips for other local issues (knife crime, exploitation and online safety).
As part of their Duke of Edenborough award, our BFC School students will be volunteering at local food banks, and our students will also be taking part in an ‘elimination of violence against women’ workshop delivered by White Ribbon.
During October, our Blackpool FC Sports College students had the opportunity to attend Blackpool FC Under-18s Academy team training. This allowed the students to gain hands-on learning from industry professionals. Students spoke to Blackpool FC Coaching staff, sports scientist and physio. This experience allowed the students to reflect on their own work and apply what they learned to their own sessions.

On Mondays 5pm to 6pm at Aspire Sports Hub, we will be holding our Girls Weetabix Wildcats sessions for girls aged Under 7 to 11 who want to develop their football skills alongside our coaches. These are for girls of all abilities.
In addition to this, we will be launching Girls Futsal on Thursdays 6pm to 7pm at Montgomery Academy. This is for local teams who would like futsal fixtures against other teams, using the sport as a tool to develop young female footballers.
Our female football department are working alongside our Premier League Primary Stars team to deliver our annual Girls Cup football tournament.
Community Engagement
Our cost-of-living support continues, with The Big Food Truck visiting Bloomfield Road every Tuesday from 2pm to 3pm. Before collecting food parcels, attendees can join our Community Club from 1:30pm to 3pm to enjoy a hot drink and access local services. Family Clubs continue in the North Stand Community Hub every Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30pm to 5pm. Our Community Cohesion group also meets on Thursday mornings from 11am – 12pm, this month they will be taking part in different physical activities.

Our Active Minds programme continues, with multiple men’s and women’s football sessions running weekly across Stanley Park, Aspire Sports Hub, Aspire Sports Centre, and Palatine Leisure Centre.
We are also seeking residents in Bloomfield, Tyldesley, Victoria, and Park wards to get involved with our Move More initiative, helping develop a community group to address local needs.
Our Get FIT Keep Fit programme continues to grow. We recently launched a new Facebook page, where you can find timetable updates, session tasters, and event information. Our Keep FIT classes run on a £20 monthly rolling membership or £3+ per session and include Circuits, BoxFIT, ClubFIT, Pilates, and Strength & Stretch. Class times and venues change weekly, so check the app or Facebook page regularly.
Man v Fat is actively seeking new participants. The programme supports men with a BMI of 27.5 or higher to lose weight, improve fitness, and build friendships. Over 90% of players achieve their weight loss goals, and sessions are available from just £35 per month.

Sessions run on Mondays, with over-35s from 7pm to 8pm and players aged 18 to 34 from 8pm to 9pm. Entry is £30 per team, and each league consists of eight teams playing each other twice, with trophies and prizes for the winners.
