Creating Future Sports Professionals Through Real-World Experience

At Blackpool FC Sports College, we are proud to provide students with opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. Many of our learners combine their studies with paid employment at Blackpool FC Community Trust (BFCCT), gaining valuable industry experience while continuing their education.

Working across a variety of community programmes, including Tiny Tangerines, Sports Camps, Armed Forces activities, Get FIT Keep FIT, high school delivery and Sports Development Centres, students develop practical coaching, leadership, communication and organisational skills in real-world environments.

These opportunities allow learners to work alongside experienced professionals, receive ongoing support and mentoring, and gain first-hand insight into careers within sport, health and community development. The experience not only strengthens their CVs but also helps build the confidence, knowledge and professional networks needed to succeed in the industry.

For many students, casual employment with BFCCT provides a valuable stepping stone into the sports sector, with some progressing into full-time roles within the organisation and beyond.

At Blackpool FC Sports College, we are committed to developing the next generation of sports professionals through a combination of education, industry experience and employment opportunities.
