Blackpool FC Community Trust is a charity delivering sport, education, health, wellbeing and community programmes across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.
Each year, we engage with more than 20,000 programme participants and deliver an estimated £31.25m in social value. This figure reflects the value created by our work and includes improved health and wellbeing, better educational and employment outcomes, increased volunteering and activity, and costs avoided by public services because of the support we provide.
We support children and young people, students from our own school and sports college, veterans, older people, families and communities across a wide range of programmes and transport is a vital part of making that work possible.
We operate our own school and college at Bloomfield Road, with our minibuses regularly used to take students to sports facilities, educational activities, fixtures, competitions and extracurricular opportunities away from the stadium. Our wider charitable programmes also rely on transport to help participants access activities and opportunities, including travelling across the North West for inclusive trips or to represent the Trust at competitive fixtures involving Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton, to name just a few.
Our current fleet has served us well but is reaching the end of its useful life. With demand for our transport continuing to grow, we are now looking to invest in two new-to-us minibuses.
As a charity, we can contribute towards this investment, but capital expenditure of this scale is difficult to fund from our core charitable income, so we’re looking for a business or businesses prepared to make a significant contribution towards the purchase of the vehicles or potentially fund one or both vehicles outright.
In return, we want to create a partnership that delivers genuine value and visibility.
Our Official Transport Partner would receive recognition across BFCCT’s digital and social channels and website, with the opportunity for branding and signwriting on the vehicle or vehicles depending on the level of investment.
The exposure goes beyond a logo on a bus. These vehicles will be on the road throughout Blackpool, the Fylde Coast and the wider North West, transporting students and participants to activities, events and competitive fixtures. They will also feature naturally in our photography, video and social media content, as well as the football clubs on occasion, providing further opportunities to showcase the partnership and the difference it is helping to make.
Most importantly, the investment directly supports our ability to provide more opportunities for our participants and those who need it most in the communities we serve.
We are looking for a meaningful partnership rather than small individual donations. We are happy to work with one organisation or, where appropriate, multiple partners to make the project happen.
If your organisation is looking for a highly visible and tangible way to invest in the local community, we would welcome a conversation about becoming BFCCT’s Official Transport Partner.
