Jimmy Armfield Memorial Trophy Tournament

We held our annual Jimmy Armfield Memorial Trophy Tournament at Stanley Park which was attended by approximately 120 pupils across 14 primary schools. It was an amazing morning of football, competing in over 35 small-sided matches with an ecstatic St Nicholas team winning 3-2 on penalties in the final to retain the title from last year.

Beaverbrooks Enterprise Challenge

We held our presentation day of the Beaverbrooks Enterprise Challenge at Blackpool FC Stadium. The Enterprise Challenge tasks young people to identify a gap in the local market and create a business idea suitable for young people aged 11-18. We had 7 schools attend which were split into 15 groups, each group entered the presenting room and pitched their business idea to the panel of judges. After a long and heated debate in the boardroom, the Judges crowned pupils from Montgomery Academy the winners of the 2023 Beaverbrooks Enterprise Challenge.

Armed Forces Silver Award

Blackpool FC Community Trust has been awarded Silver under the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme for our support to Defence and the wider Armed Forces community. We’re proud to have moved up from a bronze to a silver award level this year, by increasing our active support and advocacy for services colleagues within the Trust and from the wider community.

Blackpool FC School Final Fixtures

Our Blackpool FC School students took part in the final round of fixtures in the Lancashire School Games Football League. The students were unbeaten coming into these fixtures and carried on their good form to remain unbeaten on the day. They were crowned the winners of the league and lifted the trophy at the end ceremony. Well done everyone!
