What a way to conclude our Free family hubs before we break up for the summer holidays.
Since April we have held family hubs every Tuesday and Thursday in our North Stand Community Hub at Blackpool FC Stadium. The Hubs are an opportunity for families to come along and take part in a variety of activities or to simply sit and have a chat – there is even access to our new games room too, which the young people love! We also provide a sandwich and snacks for everyone who attends.
Recently, Blackpool’s Childrens and Families Partnership Plan ran a colouring competition across Primary Schools in Blackpool and we encouraged the children who attend our Hubs to take part.
Just short of 1000 children entered and not one but TWO of the children who attend our Family Hubs came in the top 10. They will have their artwork displayed at the Winter Gardens in October and will feature on the Councils website for the next 5 – 10 years. A massive well done to Ethan and Horatio, we’re so proud of them!
