The Blackpool FC Community Trust Premier League Enterprise Academy has started delivery in High Schools across Blackpool. The Enterprise Academy is an exciting new programme for 2015, funded by the Premier League and Sport Relief.
South Shore Academy and Unity Academy have been amongst the first schools to pilot the new programme which uses Blackpool Football Club as template to give young people an insight into business in the sports industry.
The programme is made up of ten core subjects which include business communications, products, services, advertisement, publicity, customer relations and succeeding in the business industry.
Alongside the business aspects of the programme, a key Enterprise Academy initiative is to improve young people’s personal skills which include, teamwork, communication, problem-solving and creativity.
The programme engages participants into the business industry and endeavours to make the young people more employable after leaving full-time education.
