Futsal Match Report 05/11/14

Blackpool FC Community Trust  C Team V Blackburn Rovers C Team

 Blackpool FC Community Trust C Team faced Blackburn Rovers C Team in a fast paced game with flares of attacking skill!

It was Blackpool who broke the deadlock from a set piece with Keeble pouncing on a though pass to poke the ball through the keepers legs. With Blackpool unable to take their chances, Blackburn scored next from a defensive mistake. This took the game to 1 – 1 at half time.

The second half saw excellent skill from Linaker taking an early chance which unfortunately didn’t find the net. In the second half Blackburn struck back, finding the gaps in Blackpool’s defence they scored again making the score 2-1.

This gave Blackpool a much needed wakeup call forcing them to refocus and take a lead in the game. Two goals came from Keeble and Jones grabbing a goal late in the game to finish 4 -2 to Blackpool.

 Blackpool FC Community Trust  D Team V Rochdale FC C Team

 Blackpool knew they were in for a tough game as Blackpool FC Community Trust D Team took on Rochdale C Team.  Rochdale had the majority of possession and their movement off the ball helped them to build up a 5-0 lead. Yates was able to get a goal back for Blackpool before the half time, before Rochdale took more chances leaving the score 8-1 at half time.

After the break, Rochdale started again with better pace and better skill resulting in an increase in the score, 12 – 1. Blackpool scrambled a few more goals from Horsley and Rose but Rochdale finished clear winners 14 -3.

 Blackpool FC Community Trust  E Team V Rotherham FC D Team

The game between Blackpool FC Community Trust  E and Rotherham D saw end to end action in a race to get the points. Blackpool managed to take an early lead making the score 2-0, which was later pegged back to 2-2 after an own goal from Kirk.

After half time both teams continued to attack well but it was Rotherham that took the lead. Both teams worked hard throughout the game but the game ended in a draw 4 -4 with Jackson and Fleetwood making the score sheet.
