Girls from eight high schools across Blackpool battled it out on Monday 24th November showing off their skills at the Football League Trust Girls Cup at Stanley Park. [caption id="attachment_1098" align="aligncenter" width="640"]
Football League Trust Girls Cup November 2014[/caption] Hosted by Blackpool FC Community Trust, the competition was a huge success, providing participants with an incredible experience. In an exciting final, LSA Performing Arts an Technology College took on local rivals St Bede’s in a tight game. With outstanding football from both sides, Lytham St Annes finally broke the deadlock with a 1-0 victory. With the growing profile of female football throughout the UK, the tournament provided the opportunity for local girls to showcase the talent which is growing across the Fylde Coast.
