Trust To Launch Summer 2017 NCS Programme

Shake up your summer – Calling all Year 11 school leavers

Blackpool FC Community Trust are launching the Summer 2017 NCS programme for 15-17 year olds.

NCS is a nationwide experience for Year 11’s and 12’s. It is a chance for teens to shake things up and develop new skills for whatever post-GCSE life has to throw at them. It changes how teens see the world and has a huge impact on communities across the UK with Blackpool FC Community Trust raising over £3000 for local charities by NCS graduates contributing over 5000 voluntary hours.

The Trust will be running an open evening about the Summer NCS programme, which will take place on Wednesday 22nd March at 6pm from the Blackpool FC Community Trust Office based at Bloomfield Road. The open evening is a chance for 15-17 year olds to meet the NCS team whilst finding out more about NCS.

Parents and guardians are also invited to come along. Remember, places are limited so don’t miss your chance to do NCS. In one amazing summer, you’ll live away from home, develop skills to boost your CV, and meet amazing people you’ll never forget.

Senior Social Action Officer for Blackpool FC Community Trust, Selina Hayes hopes to see as many 15-17 year olds in the Blackpool area to get attend the Summer launch. Selina said, “NCS is a fantastic opportunity for 15-17 year olds to try something differently this Summer. The weather will be great and you will be doing an abundance of different activities whilst making new friends.”

Sign up on the day to be entered into a prize draw to win four tickets to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and receive a 50% discount on the price.
