The Community Trust, in partnership with Sport Blackpool, delivered a workshop to support local primary schools with their reporting of the P.E and Sports Premium Funding.
Senior Physical Education Officer, Chris Debar, and Dave Rohman, School Games Organiser, delivered an interactive workshop providing schools with key up-to-date information regarding the expected outcomes of the funding, expectations of the reporting procedure and the opportunity to discuss the latest reporting tool created by AfPE (Association for P.E) and YST (Youth Sport Trust).
The workshop was held at Bloomfield Road, the home of Blackpool FC and provided a neutral venue for various school staff to attend. As part of the Premier League Primary Stars programme the Community Trust host and deliver a variety of workshops for staff from local primary schools to attend.
Chris felt the workshop was beneficial for those who attended and was happy with how it went. “It’s the first time we’ve delivered a workshop that looks at the management aspect within P.E as opposed to previous workshops where we focus on the delivery of P.E and physical activity.”
Chris added, “Linking in with Sport Blackpool is great as Dave has a direct link with the YST and was able to provide schools with an insight into the Active School Planner, helping them to record the levels of physical activity within the school which is one of the outcomes of their funding.”
