Blackpool FC Community Trust delivered its second Traineeship course and held a graduation for the students on Saturday.
The second Traineeship course finished on 16th December, with all students completing the course successfully. The course consisted of 215 hours of work placement, working in various areas of the football club, private recreational and fitness industry. The course also covered, Level 2 in the Principles of Sports Coaching, learning the theory behind coaching and Level 1 in Employability Skills, CV work, interview techniques and job applications.
Traineeship Officer for Blackpool FC Community Trust, Colin King delivered the Traineeship course and says the graduates are in place to start their employment and further education. Colin said, “I hope the trainees now have the confidence, tools and knowledge to move into employment or onto further education. One of the trainees has already been offered an apprenticeship from his work placement with the rest looking to progress onto the new Kicks starts programme. This course is an accredited course with Community Sports Leaders award, First aid qualification and Entry Level 3 in Employability skills.”
Colin added, “All the Trainees have grown in confidence over the duration of the course and it is pleasing to see these young people change and develop over a short period of time.”
