Blackpool FC Community Trust Summer Sports Camps have drawn to an end following six weeks of fun, laughter and lots of activities.
The Trust’s Summer Sports Camps has seen hundreds of children across Blackpool attend three camp locations – Hawes Side Academy, Marton Academy and Norbreck Primary School.
The Trust’s Inclusion Camp, which is for participants with a disability, has also finished after six successful weeks.
Blackpool FC first team players have attended Sports Camps and Inclusion Camp throughout the summer, much to the delight of the children. Blackpool FC midfielder Nathan Delfouneso believes the Sports Camps delivered by The Trust is a fantastic opportunity for children to stay active and make friends over the summer. Nathan said, “It’s great to see the children get involved in all the different activities the Trust run. I really enjoy coming and surprising the children. They ask so many funny questions and it’s good to be involved.”
Blackpool FC Community Trust prides itself on delivering the best Holiday Sports Camps available. The Trust deliver daily football sessions as well as multi-sport activities such as handball, netball, dodgeball, SAQ (Speed, Agility & Quickness), quick cricket, rounders and basketball. There are also weekly competitions to win prizes.
Sports Camp Coordinator Marc Joseph has been delighted with how the six weeks have gone. Marc said, “It’s been a fantastic summer for all the kids. It’s great to see that all the children have enjoyed themselves. All the coaches at Blackpool FC Community Trust ensure that we deliver the best and safest sessions available for the children. We’ve had hundreds of children across Blackpool attend and it’s something we take great pride in.”
