Blackpool FC Community Trust is very proud to announce a brand new project to be delivered, Changing Rooms.
In partnership with EFL Trust and DWP, the project will work with anyone over the age of 16 that is currently the furthest away from employment they can be. They will be supported over a 12 week period to increase their confidence, health and wellbeing as well as developing the skills needed to enter employment in the future.
Participants are identified by our local DWP offices and interviewed to gain entry to the course.
Ashley Hackett, Chief Executive at BFCCT said; “We are really focused on supporting all corners of our community, so the new Changing Rooms Programme fills us with great enthusiasm to offer a new target group an opportunity to access our services. Changing Rooms can work as a great entry into a number of our programmes, including our really successful Traineeship provision, KickStart, which has had some amazing impact on local people, with 71% of our participants on that programme entering full time employment or education after their involvement.”
Mike Evans, Director of Operations, EFL Trust comments:
“We are delighted that Blackpool is kicking off delivery of our ‘Changing Room’ programme. ‘Changing Room’ joins ‘Match Fit’ as part of the EFL Trust suite of ‘Training Ground’ employability programmes that Job Centres can commission. ‘Changing Room’ will initially be offered at the Club Community Organisations of Blackpool, Sheffield Wednesday, Wycombe Wanderers, and Plymouth Argyle Football Clubs. The EFL Trust is confident that the programmes will deliver fantastic outcomes for unemployed people in these communities and in other areas as the programmes are rolled out across the EFL Trust network.”
The first course starts on Tuesday 8th October 2019, with our second course starting in new year.
