Blackpool FC Community Trust is delighted to announce that we have been successful in securing a three-year grant of £78,302 from Children in Need to deliver year-round sports sessions for children and young people with additional needs in Blackpool. The sessions will be delivered in a variety of special schools across the town and will give children and young people the opportunity to get involved in sports activities which will help improve their physical and emotional wellbeing and encourage them to develop key skills.
Jason White, Head of Sport at Blackpool FC Community Trust said: “We’re delighted to have been awarded this new grant from BBC Children in Need. With this funding we’ll be able to provide children and young people with additional needs with sports sessions across Blackpool that will help to improve their ability and skills, make new friends and help develop confidence, and further enhance our already strong offer for disabled participants.”
