NCS Open Evening To Take Place This Wednesday

Blackpool FC Community Trust will be running a NCS Open Evening this Wednesday at our Community Trust Office (FY1 6JJ). The NCS Open Evening is an opportunity for 15-17 year olds and their parents to find out about NCS. NCS is a nationwide experience for Year 11’s and 12’s. It is a chance for teens to shake things up and develop new skills for whatever post-GCSE life has to throw at them. It changes how teens see the world and has a huge impact on communities across the UK with Blackpool FC Community Trust raising over £3000 for local charities by NCS graduates contributing over 5000 voluntary hours. Senior Social Action Officer Selina Hayes has encouraged any 15-17 year olds in Blackpool to attend the Open Evening, as NCS is a once in a life-time experience. Selina said, “All the young people who have been on the NCS programme really enjoyed the experience. It really is a once in a life time opportunity where you can challenge yourself through activities such as gorge-walking, rock climbing and canoeing. You will make new friends, you will do something you thought you couldn’t and you will have fun.” For more information on the NCS Open Evening, please call us on 01253 348691.
