Blackpool FC Community Trust will be running a NCS Open Evening this Wednesday at our Community Trust Office (FY1 6JJ).
The NCS Open Evening is an opportunity for 15-17 year olds and their parents to find out about NCS.
NCS is a nationwide experience for Year 11’s and 12’s. It is a chance for teens to shake things up and develop new skills for whatever post-GCSE life has to throw at them.
It changes how teens see the world and has a huge impact on communities across the UK with Blackpool FC Community Trust raising over £3000 for local charities by NCS graduates contributing over 5000 voluntary hours.
Senior Social Action Officer Selina Hayes has encouraged any 15-17 year olds in Blackpool to attend the Open Evening, as NCS is a once in a life-time experience. Selina said, “All the young people who have been on the NCS programme really enjoyed the experience. It really is a once in a life time opportunity where you can challenge yourself through activities such as gorge-walking, rock climbing and canoeing. You will make new friends, you will do something you thought you couldn’t and you will have fun.”
