Blackpool FC Community Trust will be delivering a brand new programme which is aimed at helping 16-24 year olds, who aren’t in education or employment.
‘Kickstart’ is a free programme for young adults as it offers them a pathway back into education or employment.
The Trust have been delivering a similar programme for 16-18 year olds called ‘Traineeship’ – which has been running for the last 9 months. The Traineeship programme has been successful with the first wave of students from this course, enrolling on to the ‘Kickstart’ programme to continue their further learning.
Senior Employability Officer Rick Bryan for Blackpool FC Community Trust, believes this is a fantastic programme for young adults to get involved in. Rick said, “With Blackpool having one of the highest NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) rates in the U.K, this programme will open up opportunities for people aged 16 to 24, to gain accredited qualifications and improve their life skills. The programme will also lead to a pathway into employability.”
Kickstart will begin within the next few weeks – for anyone interested or would like a informal chat about the programme, please contact Rick on 01253 348691 or rickct@blackpoolfc.co.uk
