The draw for the FLT Futsal Plate Quarter Finals took place featuring representation from all six of the regional divisions. Blackpool were drawn in a tough Quarter Final group with Mansfield Town, Huddersfield and Nottingham Forest.
The Blackpool FC Community Trust Futsal team travelled to compete at the Birmingham Futsal Arena. The first group game saw Blackpool beat Mansfield Town 2-1 with both goals coming from Anthony Severyn.
With some good passages of play an unfortunate loss followed as Huddersfield took the second game 6-3.
In the final game Blackpool needed a win to ensure their own progression, and that is just what they got, beating Nottingham Forest 6-3. The result against Forest cemented Blackpool in the second position in the Quarter Final group stage, securing their place in the FLT Futsal Plate Semi-finals.
The semi-finals are scheduled to take place on Thursday 7th of May in Birmingham.
