Blackpool FC Community Trust are delighted to be delivering a brand new programme – CSI Recovery Football.
CSI (Challenge through Sport Initiative) Recovery Football is delivered in partnership with Lancashire Sport. The programme is aimed at improving the lifestyles of adults, who are in drug and alcohol recovery, through the participation of regular exercise.
Blackpool FC Community Trust, Inclusion Officer Mike Lee said, “CSI Recovery Football is a fantastic programme for adults who are in recovery, to get healthy and boost their fitness by playing football. We will be delivering numerous fun and engaging games with the participants. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for them to meet new friends.”
CSI Recovery Football is delivered every Thursday at Stanley Park, from 13.00pm to 14.00pm and is free of charge. Blackpool FC Community Trust will also be offering free a pick up service for participants from Winston House, Horizon, Church Street at 12.45pm.
Darren Wraxton attended the first CSI Recovery Football session last week and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Darren said, “The CSI Recovery Football programme is a great opportunity for me to improve my fitness and I love playing football. I’ve also made some new friends which is brilliant.”
