The first Fit2go Quiz of this year took place with Norbreck, Anchorsholme, Westcliffe, St Bernadettes & St Teresa’s all visiting Blackpool FC’s stadium on Bloomfield Road to battle to become the winner of our Fit2Go Healthy Lifestyle Quiz.
Pupils were handpicked by each school to represent Year 4 and all were extremely well behaved and well-mannered throughout the afternoon. The pupils were very excited and really looking forward to the quiz with many mentioning that they had never been to a football stadium before and it was a great experience for them.
The Quiz was a very close contest and going into the final round there were only five points separating the schools. The final round couldn’t separate the top two places with the winners being Norbreck and Anchorsholme. Both schools take the prize of a signed Blackpool FC football that was awarded to them by Blackpool FC Striker Martin Patterson back to their school.
One of the teachers at the event said it was ‘a brilliant day and a great incentive for children’ and one of the pupils mentioned ‘It was a really fun day. I am so happy my school won and we got to meet Martin Patterson and get a photo with him’.
It was a fantastic event enjoyed by all and more importantly everyone left with a smile on their face.
