Blackpool FC Community Trust have continued to deliver a variety of our provision – virtually.
Fit Blackpool is a FREE 12 week programme that helps fans to make better lifestyle choices.
Normally based at Bloomfield Road, the current participants have taken to their living rooms to continue their progression on the programme, with many taking advantage of the exercises they can do at home.
The response from Fit Blackpool participants from their first virtual sessions from home, on Tuesday & Thursday evening last week, was very positive.
Karen Woodman, a current participant said, “Thanks guys what a fab session. Here’s to another good week”.
“Cheers lads just seeing everyone is the kick up the bottom I needed to crack on and get off my lazy bottom again.” – Malcolm
Nathan Davies, Health Officer, said, “It was brilliant to see our participants keeping themselves active and taking part in different forms of exercise”.
Furthermore, Blackpool FC Sports College tutors have kept in touch with their students through video apps, our community officers are keeping in touch with our older participants and we remain in contact with local schools should they need our support.
We hope to be able to offer more support to our community in the upcoming weeks so keep your eyes peeled.
The Community Trust team have also created a variety of videos and activities for you to take part in at home and will be posting them out daily on social media.
