As we head into November, take a look at the activities Blackpool FC Community Trust are continuing throughout the month.
Cost of Living Support:
Family Clubs
Our Family Clubs will continue at the North Stand Community Hub from 3:30pm to 5:30pm with different activities taking place the week. On Tuesdays, we will be delivering physical activity sessions, and on Wednesdays, you can access our Homework Club and enjoy arts and crafts.
The Big Food Truck
The Big Food Truck will also operate every Tuesday as usual, along with our new Community Club from 1:20pm to 3pm.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club will run every Friday at the North Stand Community Hub from 9:30am to 11am.
Blackpool FC School
On the 12th of November, Nathan Parker is delivering a creative writing workshop to our pupils. As part of project-based learning, we are looking at environmental issues and new species of animals, so our pupils are going on a trip to Blackpool Zoo. We will also be taking part in an Alternative Provision Football Tournament.

Brand new Get FIT with BFCCT timetable of fitness classes and £20 a month rolling membership are now both live! Classes include Circuits, BoxFIT, ClubFIT, Pilates and Strength & Stretch. We would love to see new and old faces at the sessions.

Community Cohesion
On the 19th of November, our team are attending the International Men’s Day event being delivered by the United Youth Alliance. This year’s theme is ‘What about the boys?’ and will bring local frontline workers together to explore topics such as toxic masculinity, extremism, knife crime, mental health, and identity. BFCCT staff from across Cohesion & Youth Sport and ATF will be attending the event to host a marketplace stall as well as take part in educational workshops and seminars.
Premier League Kicks
On the 19th and 20th of November, we are attending the annual Premier League Kicks & Inspires Conference in Northampton. The event provides opportunities for CCOs across the country to connect and share best practise.
Armed Forces
Our free Veterans Breakfast Club will return on the first Tuesday of the month (5th) from 9:30am to 10:45am at @thethegrange on Bathurst Avenue, FY3 7RW. The Forces Football team meet every Thursday from 6pm to 7:30pm at Aspire Sports Hub, Garstang Road, FY3 7JH. NAAFI Break takes place every Wednesday in The Corner Flag at Bloomfield Road Stadium, if you’d like to preorder a £2 breakfast sandwich, please let us know before the Monday prior. Join our veterans as they stroll around the scenic gardens of Stanley Park on Thursday from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, meet at Blackpool Cricket Club, FY3 9EQ.
Alongside our regular armed forces activities, in November our Forces Football team are playing Liverpool U21s on Wednesday 6th, our Remembrance Forces Football match against Fleetwood is taking place on Thursday the 7th at Aspire Sports Hub, kick off is 7pm and spectators are welcome.
NCS Open to All
We are continuing our delivery of NCS Open to All in partnership with Blackpool & Fylde College, delivering a wide range of topics to improve students’ personal development, life and employability skills.
NCS Targeted
NCS Targeted begins at The Platform this month as we look to engage those debating their next steps into education or employment by improving their personal and social development, life and employability skills.
Level Up
Our Level Up programme prepares itself for another intake of participants. The programme aims to improve their life skills and employability skills to find a positive pathway back to education, training or employment.
StayOnSide (Safer Streets)
Our universal PSHE offer is back in schools from November. Upskilling Year 7 and 8 pupils on how to keep themselves safe and act responsibly within their communities. StayOnSide covers various topics from citizenship and online safety to exploitation and healthy relationships.
Female Football:
FA Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre (ETC)
We have fixtures on 1st November versus Preston North End ETC at Under 10s, 12s and 14s, and against Carlisle ETC at Under 16s. We are also taking our Under 12s to play Manchester City Academy on 10th November.
Elite Coaching Pathway
We have fixtures lined up for our Under 9/10s group to play against Blackburn Rovers Development Centres, and our Under 11/12s group will play against Manchester City Academy.
EFL Under 13s Girls Cup
On 11th November we will be hosting the EFL Girls Cup for high schools throughout Blackpool and Fylde. The winner of the tournament has the opportunity to represent Blackpool FC at the Northwest EFL Girls Cup finals, against other CCOs in the Northwest.
In addition to this, all our girls’ football sessions will be running as normal, including the Monday Night Future Lioness Development Centres and Girls Goalkeeper Development Centres.
