EFL Week Of Action
Between 4th – 8th we will be supporting EFL Week of Action. All 72 Clubs and Club Community Organisations will showcase activity with EFL players and managers joining participants across England and Wales.
Stress Awareness Month
This year the theme is Community. This theme was chosen because lack of support can cause loneliness and isolation, which in turn lowers people’s wellbeing, impacts mental health and can lead to mental illness.
Do you find yourself feeling like this? Please take a look through the website to see what you could get involved in. We have a variety of social groups such as: Walk & Talks, Coffee Mornings and Sporting Memories sessions. However, if you don’t feel ready to meet face to face you can email firstname.lastname@example.org to speak to our Community Navigation Team to discuss how we can support you.
World Health Day
The theme of World Health Day 2022 is Our Planet, Our Health. It focuses global attention on urgent actions needed to keep humans and the planet healthy and foster a movement to create societies focused on well-being. #HealthierTomorrow
Did you know: Local school pupils took part in PL Inspires Challenge earlier this year. The Premier Leagues focus this year was centred around the very pressing issue of climate change. Sticking within the football remit, pupils were tasked to come up with an idea to make Blackpool Football Club more environmentally friendly.
New Fit Blackpool Sessions
We will be commencing a new Fit Blackpool FREE 12-week weight management programme where you will meet other fans just like you and get to see behind the scenes at Blackpool Football Club. The programme helps fans to make better lifestyle choices.
With support from our staff and from other group members you will get tips to:
- Improve your eating habits.
- Cut down on alcohol.
- Increase your activity levels – one step at a time!
- Reduced your weight and waistline.
- Support each other to stay on track.
