Saturday the 14th of May saw Blackpool FCCT BTEC Students travel to Ewood Park to play Blackburn Rovers Community Trust in a match held on their first team pitch.
Blackpool went 2-0 down in the first 20 minutes, which saw them concede a low shot across the goal and a penalty kick. BFCCT woke up just before half time when Luke Harris headed home from 12 yards from a great corner ball. BRFCCT went in at half time 2-1 ahead.
Blackpool started better in the second half and by the 60th minute they were awarded a penalty that Geoff Wylie converted. Blackpool also had a chance in the later stages of the game when Lewis Walmsley rattled the crossbar from just outside the 18 yard box, but both teams were unable to find the net again with the game finishing 2-2 in a great encounter between the two local sides.
