Blackpool FC Community Trust will be running a BTEC Open Evening on Tuesday (4th April).
The BTEC Open Evening is an opportunity for potential students and parents to find out about our fantastic courses.
Blackpool FC Community Trust offers education programmes for students to become more employable through BTEC Level 3 and Foundation Degree courses.
In 2015/16, Blackpool FC Community Trust had 48 students enrolled on to our courses. The 48 students completed the year with 100% achievement on BTEC, with 94% reaching their targeted grades.
The BTEC Level 3 offers two different pathways for students – BTEC Level 3 in Football Studies and BTEC Level 3 in Coaching, Fitness and Development.
Senior Education Officer Mark Whalley, believes the BTEC courses available at Blackpool FC Community Trust provide a fantastic route for students who want to have a career in sports.
Mark said, “The BTEC’s Level 2 and 3 in sport offers the chance for students study a wide range of sporting units which provides them with an insight to the careers available within the sporting industry. Alongside their studies, students can take part in two practical pathways – Football Academy, training three times a week and playing in competitive matches every Wednesday. Alternatively, students can take part on our Sports Coaching Academy, for those wishing to pursue a career as a sports coach or as a P.E teacher.”
