Young people across Blackpool have been putting some of Blackpool FC’s first team players to the test, quizzing them on how they lead a healthy lifestyle. Having recently taken part in Fit2Go, an award winning healthy lifestyle initiative delivered by Blackpool FC Community Trust, Year 4 pupils from Norbreck Primary Academy and Anchorsholme Academy took the role of interviewer to find out how healthy and how active professional footballers are. Questions relating to the content of the Fit2Go programme including on average how much physical activity professional footballers take part in, and what a professional footballers' diet consists of were fired at Club Captain David Ferguson, Brad Potts and Jim McAllister. Captain David Ferguson said “It’s a privilege to be able to give back to the community and help inspire the next generation to lead healthier lifestyles. There was nothing like Fit2Go when I was at school, so it’s great that these children are getting a head start”.
