In the past season the Trust, working under the umbrella of Altogether Now – a legacy for Blackpool, has worked with more than 17,500 different people across the town on projects focused around Education, Health and Inclusion.

The Trust delivered more than 8,000 sessions through the year with these sessions being visited more than 181,000 times.

Age groups as low as nursery age children all the way through to over 55’s are targeted with sessions taking place throughout the week.

Ashley Hackett, Head of Community said; “We are very proud of the work we have done in the past 12 months and this award highlights the effort our team has put in to make sure we offer as many opportunities for people within our community to improve their lives as possible.”

The MBNA North West Football Awards are not new to the Community Trust, at last years ceremony the Trust won Community Initiative of the Year, for our very successful health project, Fit2Go. The project is delivered in every primary school and high school in Blackpool, teaching young people the importance of eating well and the effects of too much fats and sugar.

The Trust is a registered charity, that is able to deliver through a range of partner organisations and funding streams.
