Blackpool FC Community Trust launch GAMEroom

Blackpool FC Community Trust launched its GAMEroom on Saturday, in partnership with GAME.

The launch took place from 1pm until 3pm prior to Blackpool’s 4-1 victory against Newport County. The GAMEroom provides young children and young adults (aged between five and 18) with the opportunity to play the latest football release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as participate in community competitions and tournaments.

Over 25 people attended the launch and fans were treated with a visit from Blackpool’s Luke Higham and Henry Cameron.

Manvir Rai, Communications Officer for the Community Trust, said: “I’m delighted we have set up this programme for young adults and young children. It gives them the chance to meet new friends whilst playing new games on the latest consoles. It also gives people the chance to learn more about what we do.”

Blackpool GAME Store Manager Will van Duyvenvoorde is delighted with the partnership with Blackpool FC Community Trust and added: “The community is at the heart of everything we do at GAME, and to forge a new partnership with Blackpool FC Community Trust in order build and grow both communities, is something we are really excited about. This gives us a chance to connect with our community away from the store, to build new relationships for both Game and Blackpool FC Community Trust, and of course to support and promote our local football team, Blackpool FC.”
