Blackpool FC Community Trust has been running Autism Specific Sessions at Park School, Blackpool.
The Autism Specific Sessions gives young people who have autism, the opportunity to engage in fun filled activities.
Autism Specific Sessions are delivered every Thursday at Park School, Blackpool, at 15.15pm – 16.15pm. The session consists of 30 minutes of Arts and Crafts, followed by 30 minutes of Physical Activity.
Inclusion Officer, Owen Coyle, delivers the Autism Specific Sessions and believes it’s been a great success since it launched. Owen said, “The Autism Specific Sessions has been a massive success and enjoyed 15 regular participants within in a 10 week block. There has been massive improvements in participation and behaviour.”
Park School Teaching Assistant, Elliot Ward is delighted with the delivery of the Autism Specific Sessions from Blackpool FC Community Trust. Elliot said, “The children really enjoy the sessions. They look forward to Blackpool FC Community Trust coming in to deliver the sessions. We had Bloomfield Bear come and surprise the children – they were delighted with it. The sessions have been a great success.”
