Blackpool FC Community Trust uses Physical Education and Sport to engage and inspire young people living with a disability in seven different Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Schools (SEND) across the Fylde coast.
As part of The Hargreaves Foundation and School Sport Premium funded delivery, we work uniquely to meet the needs of each specific SEND school, with a framework to “reduce feelings of marginalisation and exclusion”, “increase in physical health” and “empower young people to try new things”.
What Schools say about our delivery.
“As a member of staff, I can only give positive feedback for how the staff have delivered the sessions to our children each week. All the children have been fully engaged and entertained, encouraged, and praised both as a group and individually and empowered to try new things – I can’t recommend their physical activity sessions enough. Thank you”
“The pupils love it when staff from the Trust are in school. Sessions are always engaging and meet all the needs of the group”.
“Pupils look forward to the sessions each week and have excellent relationships with the staff from the Trust”.
“The staff at the Trust make the session’s fun and engaging. The focus is always on pupils trying their best and being active”.
