Blackpool FC Community Trust, in partnership with the Princes Trust, delivered a Get Started project for young adults in Blackpool, during February.
The project was an opportunity for 16-25 year olds to learn the basics of sport coaching during a weeklong course.
The programme included learning about how to put together risk assessments, session plans and how to perform warm ups and skill specific drills. The group also completed their FA basic First aid award.
The group of 17 enjoyed a fantastic week, hosted at Bloomfield Road and led a round of coaching sessions with a group of children at the end of their week.
To help motivate the group BFC Manager Barry Ferguson shared an afternoon with the group, for them to ask him questions about his experiences in coaching and team management.
The group was then presented their graduation certificates pitch side at the Blackpool vs Birmingham match on 22nd February.
