Level Playing Field is the leading disability fan advocacy in England and Wales, and their campaign, Unite for Access, continues to raise awareness and drive equality for a more inclusive match day experience for disabled sports fans.
Blackpool FC have kindly provided 100 tickets to the Blackpool vs Wigan fixture, which allows us to promote the Level Playing Field charity and raise awareness of inclusive access at football matches here at Bloomfield Road and help to ensure everyone can enjoy their experience watching the team.
In support of the campaign, Blackpool FC, working alongside Blackpool FC Community Trust (BFCCT), will welcome pupils from four of our local SEND partner schools and adult participants from our pan-ability football sessions.
We hope this will be a fun and memorable experience, giving our guests the chance to enjoy live football in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Paul Mullin, SEND Physical Education Team Leader at BFCCT, said
“We have really expanded our footprint across SEND PE provision in Blackpool schools over the last 12 months, and to be able to offer our participants a chance to attend a Blackpool FC fixture is really exciting for them. The pleasing to see the Club understand the importance of these initiatives and the significance of creating the right environment where everyone’s needs are respected and catered for. This Club approach unites the work that my inclusive Sports Team does in the local community and the Football Club.”
