Blackpool FC Community Trust delivered its annual EFL Trust Kids Cup on Monday 30thSeptember 2019 at Stanley Park Blackpool. 18 schools from across Blackpool accepted their invite to participate in the Kids Cup for the opportunity to win a place in the local Final which will be played at Bloomfield Road on Saturday 12thOctober 2019.
Organiser of this year’s local Kids Cup, Physical Education Officer Oli Clarke said, “I was delighted to see so many children and teachers enjoy their day whilst engaging in physical activity. This year’s EFL Trust Kids Cup has been a fantastic success. We’ve had over 160 children from across Blackpool come to this wonderful facility at Stanley Park to take part in a football competition. This is my first year at the Trust and it has been something I have really enjoyed being involved in. I am looking forward to seeing everyone participate again next year.”
Moor Park Primary School were one of many schools who participated in the Kids Cup and Mr Kellett praised The Community Trust for their fantastic work in schools and within the community. Mr Kellett said, “The Kids Cup is a fantastic opportunity for children to showcase their talents and enjoy football in a fun environment. The BFCCT team have pulled off a very well organised competition and the children have really enjoyed their day. The standard of football has been very high.”


After an eventful day of group stages, quarter finals and semi finals the last two teams standing where Roseacre Primary School and Norbreck Primary Academy. The pair will now grace the Bloomfield Road turf in the local Final of the EFL Trust Kids Cup.
Both Norbreck Academy and Roseacre Primary School have been runners up in the competition in recent years, Norbreck losing on penalties in 2017 and Roseacre in a narrow 1 – 0 defeat after extra-time in the previous year.
The winners from the Final between Roseacre Primary School and Norbreck Primary Academy will go to represent Blackpool FC Community Trust in the League One North Regional Competition against other schools for a chance to play at Wembley.
