Over four days Blackpool FC Community Trust welcomed Year 4 pupils from 27 Blackpool primary schools to Bloomfield Road as part of the Award-Winning Fit2Go Programme.
By the end of July delivery for the academic year will be complete and Fit2Go will have hopefully influenced the behaviour of the young people and their families showing them how to live a healthier lifestyle.
In addition to school delivery the Fit2Go coaches are delivering a family orientated extension of Fit2Go for the whole family to come along to free of charge, Family Fit2Go is delivered across Community venues in Blackpool.
Family Fit2Go consists of four interactive one and a half hour sessions delivered over four weeks, looking at how to lead a healthy lifestyle together as a family, as well as a 30 minute family physical activity session. Blackpool FC Community Trust are offering each family member that attends all four weeks a free ticket to a Blackpool F.C home match next season as an incentive to encourage families to take part.

Schools attended the Fit2Go festival, which takes place annually, in groups of approximately 300, enjoying different activities throughout their sessions. Activities included football, tag rugby, exercise to music and lots of different athletics disciplines.
We would like to thank all of the volunteers that helped out at the festival, including students from our very successful Futsal Education Scholarship programme, and Fylde Rugby Club who helped make the event so enjoyable and run so smoothly.
Fit2Go is delivered in every Blackpool Primary school as part of Altogether Now – a legacy for Blackpool, the multi-partnership programme between the NHS in Blackpool (Clinical Commissioning Group and Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust), Blackpool Football Club and Blackpool Council. The aim of Altogether Now is to improve the health and wellbeing of every person in the town, with Fit2Go specifically targeting key stage 2 pupils.
