Our BFC School students took part in an educational visit to Leach Structural Steelwork Ltd, led by Karl Hunter, where they explored STEM skills, career pathways, and apprenticeship opportunities within the construction industry. Students gained valuable insight into how structural steel is designed, cut, and painted, while learning how 2D and 4D design supports projects from concept to completion. Huge thanks to Muse, Vinci Building, and Leach Structural Steelwork Ltd for inspiring the next generation of construction professionals.
BFC School students also competed in the Blackpool District Final of the Multi-Skills Sports Competition, delivered by Panathlon. The event featured eight different sporting activities, including bowling, football, boccia, table cricket, target throw, beanbag throw, basketball, and indoor curling. The team performed excellently throughout the day, showcasing outstanding teamwork, determination, and a fantastic range of sporting skills. Following their victory, they will now go on to represent Blackpool in the County Finals at a later date.
