Blackpool FC Community Trust delivers a dedicated weekly hub for young people aged 10–16 who are electively home educated. Based at Bloomfield Road Stadium, the programme provides a structured, supportive environment where participants can build confidence, strengthen self-esteem, and develop their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
Sessions run every Wednesday from 10:30am–1:00pm and are free to attend. The Hub is designed to be inclusive, engaging and responsive to the interests of the young people who take part.

Each week offers a balanced mix of creative, physical and technical activities, including:
Pool and darts
Dodgeball and multi-sport activities
Gaming
Content creation
Robotics
Lego challenges
Board games
Walk-and-talk sessions
Additional activities shaped by young people’s ideas
The programme continues to evolve. Podcasting has recently been introduced, with participants learning how to plan, record and produce their own episodes. This hands-on experience develops communication, debating and listening skills while building technical knowledge and confidence in expressing opinions on topics that matter to them.
The Hub also connects young people to wider opportunities across the town. Recent visits to local careers events have enabled participants to engage directly with employers, explore different industries and start thinking proactively about future pathways.
The Electively Home Educated Hub is committed to creating a safe, welcoming space where young people feel included, valued and supported to learn, grow and thrive — socially, emotionally and practically.
