Blackpool FC Sports College’s two-year Foundation Degree programmes are designed for individuals wanting to attain a university qualification and are passionate about pursuing a career in Sport, Football and the Coaching industry.
Students will develop the necessary skills, qualities and characteristics that are required to work within professional football clubs, community departments, national governing bodies, schools and almost any other sporting career.
Delivered in partnership with the University of South Wales, all lectures, seminars and tutorials are delivered at Blackpool Football Club as part of a supportive environment that offers a bespoke learning experience.
Alongside the academic elements of the courses, students will complete work experience opportunities. Students are given the opportunity to coach alongside the Community Trust coaches, Blackpool FC Academy coaches as well as external partners allowing them to test out and develop the techniques learnt within lectures, as well as gaining NGB qualifications whilst studying.
Through the Trust’s partnership with the University of South Wales, all students will be enrolled through the University and will be able to access the their substantial online library, blackboard and learning materials, providing them with the best possible platform to excel.
Following the completion of either pathways of the Foundation Degree, there is a third year available:
