LSA went on to beat Montgomery C despite a good performance from their opponents. A thrilling 5-5 match in the other semi-final saw Montgomery A go through to the final after they were successful on penalties against Montgomery B.

LSA quickly responded with two quick goals to knock the confidence from the Montgomery boys after a bright start. LSA extended their lead mid-way through the first half with a further goal on the break. Montgomery came back again to claw one back despite the opposition enjoying most of the possession. Late on, LSA added two further goals with the final score ending 5-2.
Blackpool FC Community Trust’s Football Development Officer Alex Taylor said, “I was pleased to see such healthy competition from the students during this year’s competition. We had players with Academy experience, players from local grass roots clubs or those that just play games for the school which was great to see.”
Alex added, “We had some great goals and some exciting attacking futsal being played. I hope those that enjoyed tonight, will continue to play futsal and see both the technical and tactical benefits the game gives you.”
