Blackpool FC Community Trust Supports BBC Children in Need 2018
As a local charity we have had programmes funded through Children in Need and have first-hand experience of the difference that the monies raised can make to the lives of children and young people in Blackpool and across the country.
Today staff members of Blackpool FC Community Trust and the Blackpool community took part in a cycling challenge to ride 100 miles in order to raise awareness for BBC Children in Need.
Cycling on two bikes, our staff and participants from their provision, took it in turns and also invited members of the public to join in too!
Our aim was to raise awareness and support such a fantastic charity and we are proud to say that together we have successful cycled 129miles between 10:15am – 2:45pm.
In addition to this we are over the moon to say that we have also raised £178.32 which will be donated to BBC Children in Need 2018.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to DW Sports Fitness (Blackpool), Universal Fitness and Blackpool Houndshill Shopping Centre for use of their equipment and facilities.
Also, another huge thank you to all those who took part in the cycle and to the members of public and Blackpool residents who donated so generously.
Proud to be supporting our community.
Roll on next year.
