Pupils from St George’s High School won the chance to represent Blackpool FC Community Trust at this year’s Premier League Enterprise Challenge Play-Offs at Anfield.

The Premier League Enterprise Challenge, is the national competition element of the enterprise programme which began in 2009 and is run in partnership with Sport Relief. The Challenge sees Year 9 and 10 students set a football business-related task by Premier League Executive Chairman Richard Scudamore, which this season asked groups to come up with initiatives to encourage diversity and make going to a match the most enjoyable experience.

Jack Shields, Enterprise Co-ordinator, praised St George’s for embracing a fantastic experience at one of England’s most famous football clubs. Jack said, “The Enterprise Challenge is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to get an understanding of how business works within the sports industry. Getting an all access tour around Anfield was brilliant for the pupils and you could see how much they enjoyed the experience because they couldn’t stop smiling and taking pictures.”
