Sports Camps Celebrate Blackpool FC's League Two Triumph

The Sky Bet League Two trophy made its way around Blackpool as part of Blackpool FC Community Trust’s Sports Camps.

The trophy, which the Seasiders secured at Wembley on May 28th, got into the hands of over 250 children in Blackpool.

The Community Trust delivered Sports Camps last week at Norbreck Primary Academy, Marton Primary Academy, Unity Academy and Hawes Side Academy.

Sports Camp participants got involved in fun and exciting activities all week, including football, dodgeball, handball, arts and crafts, dance and much more.

The trophy also landed at the Trust’s Inclusion Camp where 28 participants posed for a picture and got their hands on the silverware.

As part of the trophy presentation at Camps, the children wore tangerine to support the Seasiders.

Blackpool FC Community Trust’s Health & Education Officer Marc Joseph said, “It was a fantastic experience for the children to get their hands on the trophy. We encouraged all children to wear tangerine and they didn’t disappoint. They’re really behind the Seasiders and the amount of children wearing tangerine proved that.”
