During Mental Health Awareness Week, Terry from Blackpool Carers attended one of our Family Hubs to present Rachel with the Special Recognition Award.
Terry Hopkinson from Blackpool Carers said:
“I would like to nominate Rachel Leaver at Blackpool FC Community Trust.
Rachel works closely with multiple members of the team at Blackpool Carers and is always keen to help raise the profile of carers in Blackpool; sharing information, resources and events across her networks, both personally and professionally. Rachel was a key player in our Young Carers attending Blackpool FC for Young Carers Action Day earlier this year, helping to organise the evening and ensuring all who attended had a great experience. This event was not only great celebration of our wonderful young carers, but also raising awareness of the work of Blackpool Carers Centre throughout the community.
I would like to thank Rachel for her constant enthusiasm for partnership working with us, and for always being willing to support Blackpool Carers, wherever and however she can.”
Rachel Leaver, Community Navigation and Living Support Manager at Blackpool FC Community Trust, said:

I am incredibly fortunate to work alongside such lovely partners in my role and most importantly to reach all of the wonderful communities in Blackpool. As part of Rachel’s role as Community Navigation and Living Support Manager, she engages with numerous organisations across Blackpool. Through this work, Blackpool FC Community Trust are able to reach members of our community who otherwise wouldn’t engage with our services.
