Reducing Re-Offending Programme
Thanks to funding from the Lancashire Police & Crime Commissioner, Blackpool FC Community Trust (BFCCT), working in partnership with Fleetwood Town FC Community Trust (FTFCCT) and Active Lancashire (AL), are launching a six month pilot programme that aims to reduce re-offending. Working closely with an AL mentor, the programme will aim to support and signpost selected individuals into community activities being delivered by BFCCT and FTFCCT, and in doing so, support these individuals to form positive relationships with the community and thereby reduce their likelihood of re-offending.
Blood Pressure Testing
All seven community trusts attached to the professional league clubs (EFL and PL) in Lancashire form part of a collective called Lancashire United. The intention of this group is to identify opportunities for the trusts to work together. June 1st 2019 will mark the beginning of a programme of work funded by British Heart Foundation, delivered in partnership with Lancashire County Council and CCGs across Blackpool, Blackburn, and Lancashire. The programme will deliver 3,500 blood pressure tests to people across Lancashire and will be the first time the seven trusts have come together as one, beneath the Lancashire United umbrella.
