NCS Match Day A Success

Saturday saw both our Youth Board Graduates and first team players celebrate and promote NCS (National Citizen Service). The aim of the NCS match day is to help raise the awareness of our NCS programmes and to help the community further understand how our project helps to make a difference within the lives of those aged 15-17 years.

NCS is the country’s fastest-growing youth movement, a rite of passage for all. teenagers aged 15-17 to discover who they are and what they can do. It’s your chance to explore, be inspired and find your passion.

Prior to Saturday’s match, our NCS Youth Board Graduates walked around the ground engaging with fans. The group wanted to inform as many people as possible about the NCS programme so that they would leave the match and end their day with more knowledge of what it entails.

Blackpool FC’s first team players got involved in helping us to promote NCS by wearing our NCS t-shirts during the warm up for their match. Once the warm up was complete, the players then handed the t-shirts out to members of the crowd.

It’s not too late to sign up for our Summer NCS programme but places are limited with young people jumping at the opportunity to take part. Our NCS Summer programme starts Monday 22ndJuly running for 3 weeks. Click here to find out more about NCS.
