Love Parks Week 2021

Let’s talk about parks.  They act as a place to retreat, play, exercise.  A place for people to come together, celebrate, achieve, breathe. And during the last year this has been exemplified even more.

Blackpool FC Community Trust utilise local parks every week, delivering a range of activities to engage our local community, encouraging them to get out and get active.

Did you know? We hold FREE PL Kicks sessions for 8 – 18 year olds at a variety of locations on weekday nights?  We also have a new summer timetable with some sessions taking place during the day too!

Parks also provide a safe location for us to hold numerous tournaments for hundreds of children living in Blackpool. From Premier League Primary Stars Girls Cup to EFL Kids Cup and football festivals. Let’s keep our parks safe.

Supported by EFL Trust and Wembley National Stadium Trust, we also deliver free football sessions using the beautiful game to support positive mental health and to help create stronger peer-support networks.  If you’re 16 +, come along and take part in Get Set to Go.

Prefer to move a little slower? Our Walking Group love to have a natter whilst taking in some fresh air and of course getting those important steps in.  It’s a great opportunity for people to come together and take part in some gentle exercise.

These are just a handful of ways we utilise local parks so, as you can see, our local parks are so important to the health and wellbeing of our community. We support the annual campaign that Keep Britain Tidy deliver with this years message to Love, Respect and Protect our parks throughout the summer 2021 and beyond.
