What programmes do we offer to people living with disabilities?
December 3rd is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This being the case we want to highlight what activities and sessions we have to offer for those living with a with a disability within the community of Blackpool.
Junior PAN-Ability Kicks (Ages 8-16) – Our Junior PAN-Ability sessions are football sessions for children or young people living with a disability. These FREE sessions include warm-up games, a chance to practice your football skills, and then finally going into some mini-football matches. The most important thing however is to have as much fun as possible. All our coaches that run these sessions are disability trained and aware while providing the best sessions possible to involve everyone who attends.
We currently run two Junior PAN-Ability sessions a week:
- Every Wednesday, from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Stanley Park (Indoor) for ages 8-12.
- Every Thursday, from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Stanley Park (Indoor) for ages 13-16.

Friday Night Disability Club (Ages 7-18) – This session is designed for children and young people living with a disability. These sessions are FREE and indoors, although you will need to confirm your child’s attendance beforehand. There are many activities to choose from at Friday Night Disability Youth Club including multi-skill activities, a recreational area, a games room with (PlayStations, Nintendo’s and table football), additional sports and much more.
These sessions run every Friday night, from 5 pm to 7 pm in the Education and Community Centre at Bloomfield Road.
The criteria for a child/young person to attend are:
- Lives with a disability.
- Are between the ages of 7-18 years old.
- Does not require 1-1 assistance for one, or all, of the following: toileting, behaviour (context-dependent), or the administering of medication.

Stars Disability Camp (Ages 7-18) – During half term and summer holidays, we run a very successful camp for disabled young people aged 7 to 18. The camp is delivered by highly qualified and experienced staff who work with disabled young people daily. Like our Friday Night Disability Club, there are many activities to choose from at our Stars Camp including multi-skill activities, a recreational area, a games room with WII Sport, an Xbox 360 and table football, additional sports such as dodgeball and football and much more.
Our Stars Disability Camp runs every half term in the Education and Community Centre at Bloomfield Road and is for children and young people between the ages of 7 and 18 who live with a disability in the Fylde Coast area (Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre).

Unified Football Adult PAN-Ability (Ages 16+) – Our Adult PAN-Ability, Unified Football sessions are football sessions for adults who live with disabilities. These sessions are delivered by highly qualified coaching staff who specialise in disability football. The main aim of Unified Football is to unite people with intellectual, physical, hearing or mental health-related conditions.
We currently run two Adult PAN-Ability sessions a week:
- Every Tuesday, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Blackpool & Fylde College for ages 16+.
- Every Thursday, from 4 pm to 5 pm at Stanley Park for ages 16+.
All these sessions are FREE to attend.
