Blackpool FC Community Trust is the official charity of Blackpool FC, based at Bloomfield Road Stadium. Working with residents as young as 2 years old up to adults in the later stages of life, BFCCT provide a diverse range of programmes to increase social inclusion opportunities; improve physical fitness, health, and education; and lessen involvement in anti-social behaviour.

In recent years the Trust has grown significantly and has become an established organisation, providing something for everybody, that every Blackpool FC fan and resident should be involved in and very proud of.

We are seeking an individual to work as the BFC School team as Maths Teacher. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the supporting students to achieve recognised Maths qualifications, including Functional Skills and GCSE.

The ideal candidate will have:
•Experience of the classroom environment
•Curriculum knowledge
•The ability to encourage and students to achieve their potential.
•Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to students and staff effectively and professionally in all circumstances.
•Experience of working with a range of educational needs

Working in BFC School the role involves delivering Maths GCSE and Functional Skills to Key Stage 4 students to classes no larger than 8 students at one time.

Some of these students may have large gaps in learning, due to a wide range of barriers, so we are seeking a dynamic teacher who has experience in across various Key stages. You will also be required to support across other areas of the curriculum, including sports and enrichment activities.

As an alternate provision, we want our staff to be creative in subject delivery, relating learning to real life and careers wherever possible. Some of our students have negative experiences of education and we pride ourselves in changing mindsets and ensuring our students are inspired to learn through a personalised approach to teaching and learning.

As a school we believe that staff wellbeing and work life balance is key to a happy school, therefore teachers have allocated time within their timetable for planning and marking to limit and even remove the need to take work home.
