Blackpool FC Community Trust is the official charity of Blackpool FC, based at Bloomfield Road Stadium. Working with residents as young as 2 years old up to adults in the later stages of life, BFCCT provide a diverse range of programmes to increase social inclusion opportunities; improve physical fitness, health and education; and lessen involvement in anti-social behaviour.
In recent years the Trust has grown significantly and has become an established organisation, providing something for everybody, that every Blackpool FC fan and resident should be involved in and very proud of.
The next area of development for BFCCT is Esports and we believe this area can support developing a new generation of fans for the football club, contribute to developing a host of community-based activities and support local young people onto positive education pathways.
The post holder will be responsible and accountable for:
• Developing and Managing of BTEC level, 2 and 3 in Esport
• Building a recruitment strategy to inspire local young people into the education programme
and professions in Esports
• Link into local and regional event providers to support delivery of provision
• Building and delivering a Secondary Schools Blackpool competition framework
• Ensuring contractual obligations are met
• Ensuring the quality of the education pathways
• Ensure behaviour expectations are met and deal with behavioural issues of students
The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Recruitment and Enrichment Manager to support the recruitment of new students.
As our Education lead for Esports, you will develop a new post-16 education platform and provide academic and technical support to learners, in partnership with our funding provider college.
Provide academic and technical support across the curriculum to maintain a safe environment which is ready to support learning activities.
Alongside developing the post 16 education offer, the postholder will develop a schools based Blackpool Esports League to build into the wider town strategy for Esports and use this to build the platform for BFCCT activity.
