On Tuesday 9th July our Third Year Degree Students travelled down to Treforest, South Wales, to celebrate their graduation.
Four students have officially graduated from the University of South Wales with a BSC Honours Degree in Football Coaching, Development and Administration. All of the students were extremely dedicated and committed to their studies and as such achieved a classification of 2:2. The programme lead for our Degree; Sophie Breakell said “I am so proud of these boys completing the full degree and coming out with the results they have done. They have worked so hard throughout their studies and they fully deserve the success that is going to come their way. I wish them all the best of luck in all their future endeavours and hope to hear back from them about what they have all gone on to achieve”.
One of our graduate students; Elliott Knight had this to say “I’ve enjoyed my time throughout the course, although its been challenging, it’s been worth it in the end and I realised this on graduation day. It was such a special and rewarding day and to see everyone again who I had met on residential through the course was great. I felt really proud when I was walking on stage to collect my certificate as it’s something I never thought I would have been able to achieve three years ago. Over the past year, I’ve learnt so much being at Blackpool FC Community Trust and the University of South Wales, gaining significant knowledge around sports coaching especially in football. Now that I have graduated and got my grades, I am looking more into sports coaching and hopefully I will be able to kickstart my career around this. I would like to say a massive thank you to Blackpool FC Community Trust as without their full support during my studies I would not have been able to achieve any of this”.
