Enhance your Employability Skills this September

Are you 16 – 30 years old and not in education, employment or training (NEET)?

You may want to consider taking part in our Traineeship programme which is developed to support young people over a 12 week period.  During this time you will take part in work experience alongside completing additional qualifications to enhance your employability skills.  This includes developing your CV, interview skills, communication, problem solving, teamwork and self-management.

Qualifications offered include:

  • Functional Skills in Maths and English up to Level 2
  • Level 3 First Aid at Work
  • Level 1 Health and Safety in the Workplace
  • We are also running a new qualification for trainees who want to work in the Health and Social Care Sector: Level 1 Award in Preparing to work in Adult Social Care

100% of learners on the previous course gained at least one qualification

A 10-week work placement is provided for you and will be in the desired area of employment you request (where possible). By the end of the 12 week course the aim is that you will progress into a positive destination including full time work, apprenticeship and/or further education.

Start: 5th September

Time: Monday to Thursday from 10 am until 3 pm.

Extra information:

An enrichment programme is included, but not compulsory, as part of the course. All learners can take part in boxing sessions at Evolve Boxing, football run by Blackpool Football Club Community Trust, cooking sessions and group PT sessions in the Football Cub’s private gym.
