This year we have a record number on our degree programmes with a first, second and third year cohort running across two modes of study. These are Community Football Coaching and Development and Sports Coaching and Development.
Studies are now officially underway for all year groups with a positive and enthusiastic start from all. We had a busy induction week for students where they were warmly welcomed back into education. Live sessions were broadcast from the University of South Wales from various module leaders across different disciplines with this playing an integral part to the students first week back.
One of our new students to the Sports Coaching and Development programme, Thomas Hanslip, said:
“When first starting the degree, I expected a big difference between college and university but the environment at Blackpool FC Sports College has been welcoming with my mentor Sophie always offering a helping hand when needed”.
Additionally, Bradley Bayliss, a returning student on our two year football coaching course said:
“It’s great to be back especially in the current climate we find ourselves in. Being back in the classroom brings some normality back to my life and it’s good to see my classmates again and catch up. I am ready for the challenge of this year and can’t wait to get started!”.
